Admission to the PES School of Nursing Education Practical Nursing Program is competitive. Meeting the published minimum eligibility requirements permits an individual to apply but does not guarantee an interview, admission, enrollment, or placement in a future cohort.
Applications are reviewed by the Practical Nursing Admissions Committee using a holistic selection process. The committee considers the applicant’s completion of all required materials, academic and healthcare preparation, professional communication, interview performance, readiness for an accelerated nursing curriculum, and overall alignment with the expectations of the nursing profession.
Applicants should carefully review all requirements, instructions, deadlines, and policies before submitting an application. Incomplete applications, applications that do not follow published instructions, or applications submitted after the deadline may be denied without further review.
Submission of an application and payment of the non-refundable application fee do not create an entitlement to admission. Admissions decisions are final and may result in acceptance, placement on a waitlist, or denial.

Applicants who meet the required testing threshold of 78% or higher may advance to the proctored writing portion of the admissions assessment. Applicants who do not meet the minimum threshold will not advance in the admissions process.
Testing appointments, identification requirements, permitted materials, minimum scores, and other procedures will be provided to applicants selected to continue. Retesting is not guaranteed and may not be permitted under the applicable admissions policy. Students who no-show for their entrance exam will be immediately denied admission into the program.

Unprofessional, hostile, dishonest, threatening, harassing, or disruptive communication or behavior may be considered in the admissions process and may result in denial or withdrawal of an offer, consistent with school policy.
