Position Summary:

PES School of Nursing Education seeks a highly qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Program Director and Lead Faculty for its allied health programs, including the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program, Medical Assistant Program, and Phlebotomy Program. This leadership role is responsible for academic oversight, instructional quality, regulatory compliance, and the effective operation of all assigned programs.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to academic excellence, professional integrity, and student success, while maintaining strict adherence to institutional policies, professional boundaries, and all directives established by the School Dean and ownership.

Primary ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership and Program Oversight

  • Provide comprehensive oversight of the CNA, Medical Assistant, and Phlebotomy programs
  • Ensure all programs comply with applicable state regulations, accrediting standards, and institutional policies
  • Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor student outcomes, retention, attendance, and program completion rates
  • Ensure instructional practices reflect current standards of healthcare education

Instruction and Clinical Supervision

  • Provide direct instruction and support as needed in didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings
  • Supervise student performance during skills labs and clinical experiences
  • Evaluate student competency and provide constructive academic feedback
  • Foster a professional, structured, and supportive learning environment

Faculty Coordination

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate students in the allied health programs
  • Ensure adherence to academic policies, professional standards, and institutional expectations
  • Coordinate schedules for courses, labs, and clinical rotations

Compliance, Professional Conduct, and Administration

  • Maintain accurate academic and administrative records in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits, site visits, and compliance reviews
  • Participate in admissions activities, orientations, and student retention initiatives as needed
  • Uphold strict professional boundaries with students and staff
  • Adhere to and enforce all policies, procedures, and program requirements established by the School Dean and ownership
  • Serve as a professional representative of the institution at all times

Work Schedule and Environment

  • Hybrid, flexible work schedule
  • Remote work permitted for administrative and instructional responsibilities as appropriate
  • In-person presence required for laboratories, clinical instruction, evaluations, and essential program functions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
  • At least one (1) year of verified experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of allied health education and healthcare training standards
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and instructional technology specifically Moodle
  • CPR Certification
  • TB Test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in nursing or allied health education
  • Experience with Moodle LMS software
  • Familiarity with state approval processes, accreditation standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or program director experience

RN Faculty Instructors for LPN Program- Part Time


PES School of Nursing Education is currently seeking RN instructors for our upcoming LPN program that we are in the process of launching! We have received our initial approval from the Michigan Board of Nursing, and have started our selection process for faculty.

Thank you for taking the time to review our description and need for Registered Nurse instructors in our upcoming LPN program.

If selected for the interview process, there will be several interviews with members of our team, and one ten-minute presentation required as part of this process and to demonstrate knowledge and understanding in teaching and presenting.

Role reports to: Owner, Dean, and Program Director

Any and all roles at PES School of Nursing are at-will. No faculty member or employee is considered to be in a contract relationship at any time.

Minimum Qualifications:

RN license in good standing with State of Michigan

5 years’ experience as an RN (non-negotiable)

Bachelors’ Degree (Master’s preferred)

Experience teaching in a classroom/formal setting

Comfortable with computer/LMS technology particularly Moodle LMS

Up to date TB test

CPR Certified

Able to pass criminal background check

Job Responsibilities:

Abide by the Policies, Rules and Regulations of the PES School of Nursing

Teach classes assigned by the Dean or Program Director.

Provide regular feedback on course syllabi, objectives, outline, lesson plans and evaluation tools for each unit to be taught.

Keep records of grades and attendance of students and submit them regularly into the student portal.

Attend monthly faculty/staff meetings

Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

Assist the Programs Administrator in student recruitment and admission.

Maintain regularly scheduled in-person office hours for students to meet with and discuss classroom concerns or to review coursework.

Proctor exams for students. All exams are completed in person and we require 2 members of staff for proctoring at all times.

Mentor students throughout their program time at the PES School of Nursing

Maintain professional licensure, complete regular CEUS as is required under Michigan law, and carry professional liability insurance at all times.

Provide hands on skills practice, utilize simulation and provide feedback for Practical Nursing students within the given courses that are being taught.

Provide instruction that aligns with the PES School of Nursing mission and values.

Monitor up to 8 students at the clinical site. Instructors are to remain with the students and supervise during the entire clinical time/rotation and location. Instructors are to maintain positive relationships with clinical sites and organizations.

Maintain a professional demeanor and maintain student/instructor boundaries at all times.

Adhere to and follow all FERPA laws.

Must be available for BOTH didactic and clinical teaching.
